The CIC® Certification is a good fit if:

  • You have two years of experience in IPC.
  • You are directly responsible for the IPC programs in a healthcare setting.
  • You have completed post-secondary education in a health-related field including but not limited to medicine, nursing, laboratory technology, public health, or biology.

The LTC-CIP Certification is a good fit if:

  • You work in a long-term healthcare setting such as a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, or assisted living facility.
  • Your role includes at least partial responsibility for the IPC programs/activities in a long-term care setting.
  • You have completed post-secondary education in a health-related field.

  • You are interested in pursuing a career in the field of IPC.
